- A few days before my husband was to return back from leave in NY to Afghanistan, Aaliyah got the hiccups that lasted such a long time that we felt it was bothering her because she was crying hysterically. So, we decided to listen to my mother-in-law's crazy belief which was to rip a piece of paper towel, wet it with water, and placed it right in the middle my baby girl's forehead. I don't even think her hiccups went away immediately like she assured us. I mean look at her? What were we thinking? Poor baby! hahahahahaaa
